OPC Client Main Help

 

OPC(OLE for Process Control) Client Main provides LocalMain/Plc_Scan with the data (which is read at OPC Server), and sends the control commands of LocalMain/Plc_Scan to OPC Server.

 

Executing an OPC Client main

Execute an 'OpcClient.exe' after installing the program.

 

Notice) Microsoft .NET Framework have to be installed (beyond 1.1 version) for executing OPC Client Main program. (Download : www.autobase.biz/Public/down/patch/dotnetfx1_1.exe)

  

Menu bar

Menu bar of OPC Client Main consists of as belows.

             Server : This menu consists of Add Server, Insert Server, Delete Server, Modify Server Properties, Add Group, DisConnect and Exit.

             Group : This menu consists of Add Group, Insert Group, Delete Group, Modify Group Properties and Add Item.

             Item : This menu consists of Add Item, Insert Item, Delete Item and Modify Item Properties

             Config : This menu consists of Connection Config, Plc_Scan Comm Setting and Etc Config.

             Help : This menu shows information about Program version.

 

 

Contents for Screen display of OPC Client Main

Server/Group/Item display area : This area shows Server, Group, Item which are registered.

Current Item Value/Read Status display area : This area shows Group/Item Name, current Value, Data Type, Read Status, Time Stamp, etc

Server Connection Status display area : This area shows Server Connection Status, Number of Group and Server Connection/Disconnection.

 

Connect to OPC Client

OPC Server : It is possible to connect to AUTOBASE OPC Server or various OPC Server(which server support 2.0,3.0 Data Access). If you want to connect with Remote OPC Server by using the Network, you have to add the OPC Server Remote Connection (Client side). (Support from AutoBase 9.5.3 version)

Connect to LocalMain : It sends the data (which communicate with OPC Server) to LocaMain, and performs the control commands (which LocalMain order).

Connect to Plc_Scan : It sends Plc_Scan the current value, and receive control commands.
