Melsec communication driver is the driver to communicate with MELSEC M2N, M3N, GOLDSEC( LS ) PLC of Mitsubishi in Japan.
<Figure 1> is read setting example of Melsec communication driver.
<Figure 1> Read setting example of Melsec communication driver |
Device part of <Figure 1> input Com Port(COM1), Baud Rate(19200), Parity Bit(0), Data Bit(8), Stop Bit(1) respectively according to setting of PLC. ( you canse baud rate, ... by using Dip switch of PLC. )
Note) Melsec communication driver use 'Protocol Format 1'. So, you have to set Protocol Format 1 by using switch of communication module.
Melsec communication driver read schedule
Read schedule setting parameters are as follows:
1) Station – station number of PLC.

You can set Melsec PLC by using 'writing settings'.
Digital Write
Digital write setting parameters are as follows:
1) PORT Port no. (0 ~ 255)
2) STATION 0 ~ 255 station number of PLC.
3) ADDRESS address in PLC memory.
4) Extra1 write memory type = X, Y, M, ....
5) Extra2 don't care.
Write example 1)
PORT:0, station:1, ADDRESS:0003, Extra1: Y, Extra2 : 0
The setting parameter shown above is bit control(On/Off) example for 0 word, 3bit of Y PLC memory.
Analog Write
Analog write setting parameters are as follows:
1) PORT Port no. (0 ~ 255)
2) STATION 0 ~ 255 station number of PLC.
3) ADDRESS address in PLC memory.
4) Extra1 write memory type = D, R, T, C, ....
GO = command for block write, ( saved memory data : maximum 64 )
CLEAR - delete all saved memory data,
D, R, T, C, .... = write memory type.
5) Extra2 selection for block write.
999 - data saving for block write at internal memory, ( only equal station and memory type, address = sequential )
0, ... - normal write.
Write example 1)
PORT:0, station:1, ADDRESS:0015, Extra1: D, Extra2 : 0
The setting parameter shown above is word write example for 15 word of D PLC memory.
Write example 2)
PORT:0, station:1, ADDRESS:0000, Extra1: D, Extra2 : 999
The setting parameter shown above is data saving example for block writing. The saved data = Output value, memory type = D.
Also,
PORT:0, station:1, ADDRESS:0000, Extra1: D, Extra2 : 999
The setting parameter shown above is data saving example for block writing. The saved data = Output value, memory type = D.
¡¦
PORT:0, station:1, ADDRESS:0063, Extra1: D, Extra2 : 999
The setting parameter shown above is data saving example for block writing. The saved data = Output value, memory type = D.
Finally,
PORT:0, station:1, ADDRESS:0000, Extra1: GO, Extra2 : 999
The setting parameter shown above is block write setting example. The writing data are saved data at internal memory, memory type = D, writing address = 0 ~ number of saved data( maximum = 64 ).
Write example 3)
PORT:0, station:1, ADDRESS:0000, Extra1: CLEAR, Extra2 : 0
The setting parameter shown above is delete example of all saved memory data for block write.
Note) You have to use GO write command for block. CLEAR write command equal deleting command of all saved memory.
Important) Serial cable with MELSEC PLC should to use full RS-232C communication cable.
Melsec FX2N series use Melsec communicatin driver.
FX2N series should to set communication setting by using Ladder program.
At the Ladder, please set Dedicated Protocol and Protocol Format 1. Also check PLC station number at Ladder.
