Granville Vacuum Gauge307 communication driver is the driver to communicate with Vacuum Gauge Controller of Helix Technology Corporation in U.S.A.
<Figure 1> is read setting example of Granville Vacuum Gauge307 communication driver.
<Figure 1> Read setting example of Granville Vacuum Gauge307 communication driver |
Device part of <Figure 1> input Com Port(COM1), Baud Rate(300), Parity Bit(0), Data Bit(7), Stop Bit(2) respectively according to setting of controller.
Baud rate, parity bit, data bit, stop bit can set by using dip switch of communication module(refer to chapter 4).
Note) Default communication setting of Granville Vacuum Gauge307 are 300 bps, 0 parity, 7 data bit, 2 stop bit.
Granville Vacuum Gauge307 communication driver read schedule
Read schedule setting parameters are as follows:
1) STATION – Don't care. ( Fixed to 0 )
2) Read command – command = DGS, DS IG1, DS IG2, DS CG1, DS CG2, PCS, PCS 1 ~ 6, PCS G. ( Refer to <Table 1> )
DGS – read of Degas status (0 or 1 status value),
DS IG1, DS IG2, DS CG1, DS CG2 – Pressure read for each gauge,
PCS, PCS 1 ~ 6, PCS B - Channel Status read. (PCS = all channel read, PCS B = read all channel and save by bit unit),
3) Read start address – Don't care.
4) Save Start Address for Communication Server – saveing start address of Communication Server.
5) Read Size – Read size = fixed to 1. ( PCS command = 6, other command = 1)
Read schedule example)
FLOAT, 0, DS IG1, 0, 0, 1,
FLOAT, 0, DS IG2, 0, 1, 1,
READ, 0, PCS, 0, 0, 1,
Read command | Contents | Remarks |
DGS | read of Degas status | 1 = ON, 0 = OFF |
DS IG1 | IG1 Pressure read | float data, ex) 1.20E-03 |
DS IG2 | IG2 Pressure read
DS CG1 | CG1 Pressure read
DS CG2 | CG2 Pressure read
PCS | Read of all Channel data | 6 Channel data |
PCS B | 6 Channel bit data | |
PCS 1PCS 2¡¦PCS 6 | Read of 1 ~ 6 Channel data | each Channel data |

Digital Write
Digital write setting parameters are as follows:
1) PORT Port no. (0 ~ 255)
2) STATION Don't care.
3) ADDRESS Don't care.
4) Extra1 Write command.
DG - Degas ON/OFF control command,
IG1 – IG1 ON/OFF control command,
IG2 – IG2 ON/OFF control command.
5) Extra2 Don't care.
Write example 1)
PORT : 0 Station : 0, ADDRESS : 0000, EXTRA1 : IG1, EXTRA2 : 0
The setting parameter shown above is IG1 On/Off control example for Granville Vacuum Gauge 307 controller.
Write example 2)
PORT : 0 Station : 0, ADDRESS : 0000, EXTRA1 : IG2, EXTRA2 : 0
The setting parameter shown above is IG2 On/Off control example for Granville Vacuum Gauge 307 controller.
Analog Write
Analog write and digital write have the same setting parameters except output value.
Connection of communication cable is as follows.
Connection of communication cable
Please connect normal RS-232C communication cable to communication module of Granville Vacuum Gauge307 Controller.
